Project in Focus
Every so often we are asked to participate in something quite unique. Periodically we focus on one of our projects that make our work so rewarding.

A Cut String Stair

Always a special job for the workshop a cut string stair is labour intensive, especially when manufactured from American White Oak as this stair is. Largely due to the detail work required see three of the main components below.

In Production

'A' The bullnose riser is made from a flat section of Oak, bent round a solid former.

- 'A' -Bullnose

'C' Treads and Cleats mitred and hand fitted on the bench. Newel Cap also shown.

'B' Each flight is assembled and the whole stair is pre-fitted in our workshop then delivered to site 'in kit form' ready for site installation, by our own installer.
